Drone	Sustain the hive by creating defences and weeds, and planting eggs. Evolves from Larva; evolves into Carrier, Hivelord or Queen.	aIntermediate
Defender	Be a living shield. Evolves from Larva; evolves into Warrior.	aEasy
Runner	Harrass groups, and abduct or kill solitary Marines. Evolves from Larva; evolves into Hunter.	aIntermediate
Sentinel	Subdue threats with neurotoxin, and prevent hosts from escaping the hive. Evolves from Larva; evolves into Spitter.	aIntermediate

Caste	Role	Difficulty
Carrier	Bring facehuggers to the frontline to attach to marines directly, or create traps to infect them as they advance. Evolves from Drone.	aIntermediate
Hivelord	Be a bigger, faster, better Drone. Make ever-larger walls, and dig tunnels to flank Marine positions. Evolves from Drone.	aIntermediate
Warrior	Use your close-quarter combat abilities to beat Marines to a pulp. Evolves from Defender; evolves into Crusher or Praetorian.	aHard
Hunter	Be a better ambusher, with the ability to become near-invisible. Evolves from Runner; evolves into Ravager.	aHard
Spitter	Fight at medium range using neurotoxin and acid spit. Evolves from Sentinel; evolves into Boiler.	aIntermediate

Praetorian	Use your strong pheromones and spit to act as a second queen on the front lines. Build giant fields of sticky resin. Evolves from Warrior.	aHard
Crusher	Charge at and ram into fortifications. Evolves from Warrior.	aIntermediate
Ravager	Rip and tear. Evolves from Hunter.	aHard
Boiler	Bombard threats from a long distance with powerful spit attacks. Evolves from Spitter.	aHard
Defiler	Use your dorsal vents to expel neurotoxin smokescreens, and your neurotoxin claws to stun Marines. Your tail stinger injects marines with a neurotoxin/larval growth serum cocktail which can even infect them with a larva. Evolves from Carrier and Hivelord .	aHard

Queen	Lead the hive from overwatch, using abilities and pheromones to help them perform their jobs. Use your powerful screech ability to lead a push. Evolves from Drone; there can only be one Queen per hive.	aVery Hard
