Advanced Grapple Technology

Nanotrasen would like to remind its researching staff that it is never acceptable to "glomp" your coworkers, and further "scientific trials" on the subject will no longer be accepted in its academic journals.

Designs

  • Dolphin Gloves: Sleek, aerodynamic gripper gloves that are less effective at actually performing takedowns, but more effective at letting the user sail through the hallways and cause accidents.
  • Rocket Gloves: The ultimate in high risk, high reward, perfect for when you need to stop a criminal from fifty feet away or die trying. Banned in most Spinward gridiron football and rugby leagues.

Advanced Office Applications

Some of our smartest lab guys got together on a Friday and improved our office efficiency by 350%. Here's how.

Designs

  • Mauna Mug: This awesome mug will ensure your coffee never stays cold!
  • Rolly poly: We duct-taped some wheels to the bottom of a table. It's goddamn science alright?
  • Rubber Ducky: The classic Nanotrasen design for competitively priced bath based duck toys. No need for fancy Waffle Corp. rubber, buy Plastic Ducks today!

Advanced Sticky Technology

Taking a good joke too far? Nonsense!

Designs

  • Pointy Tape: Used for sticking to things for sticking said things inside people.
  • Super Sticky Tape: Quite possibly the most mischievous substance in the galaxy. Use with extreme lack of caution.

Australicus Security Protocols

It is said that security in the Australicus sector is tight, so we took some pointers from their equipment. Thankfully, our sector lacks any signs of these, 'dropbears'.

Designs

  • Outback Firing Pin: This firing pin only shoots while ya ain't on station, fair dinkum!
  • OZtek Boomerang: Uses reverse flow gravitodynamics to flip its personal gravity back to the thrower mid-flight. Also functions similar to a stun baton.

Donk Co. Failed Products Schematics

We don't want to know why you're filling up your databanks with known failed products from an enemy corporation. That's your choice. I'm just saying, don't come crying to us when it turns out you've downloaded some kind of horrible donk-pocket related malware that steals your Starscape password. Those bastards over at Donk Co. WILL delete your character.

Designs

  • Donk Co. 'Donk Spike' Flechette Shotgun Shell (Lethal): A shotgun casing filled with small plastic darts. That's right, plastic. Do you really think plastic is that scary? Sure, it would hurt to be shot by this, but is it really going to do that much damage? You decide, pal, I'm not your mother. I'm just a computer.

Enhanced Interrogation Technology

By cross-referencing several declassified documents from past dictatorial regimes, we were able to develop an incredibly effective interrogation device. Ethical concerns about loss of free will do not apply to criminals, according to galactic law.

Designs

Experimental Modular Suits

Applications of experimentality when creating MODsuits have created these...

Designs

  • Disposal Connector Module: A module that connects to the disposal pipeline, causing the user to go into their config selected disposal. Only seems to work when the suit is on. It uses 2 complexity.
  • Joint Torsion Ratchet Module: A compact, weak AC generator that charges the suit's internal cell through the power of deambulation. It doesn't work in zero G. More than one can be installed. It uses 1 complexity.
  • Recycler Module: An innovative garbage collection module that recycles gathered trash into usable material. Doesn't work on debris and some items. May recycle live ammunition. Activate on a nearby turf or storage to unload stored material. It uses 2 complexity.
  • Shooting Assistant Module: A botched prototype meant to boost the TGMC crayon eaters' ability with firearms. It has only two modes available in its configurations: 'Quick Fire Stormtrooper' and 'Slow Ricochet Sharpshooter', both incompatible with dual wielding firearms. It uses 3 complexity.

Experimental Spherical Positronic Brain

Recent developments on cost-cutting measures have allowed us to cut positronic brain cubes into twice-as-cheap spheres. Unfortunately, it also allows them to move around the lab via rolling maneuvers.

Designs

Illumination Applications

Applications of lighting and vision technology not originally thought to be commercially viable.

Designs

  • Workplace-Ready Firefighter Helmet: By applying state of the art lighting technology to a fire helmet with industry standard photo-chemical hardening methods, this hardhat will protect you from robust workplace hazards.
  • Mini Rapid Light Device (MRLD): A tool that can deploy portable and standing lighting orbs and glowsticks.
  • Photon Cannon Part Kit (Nonlethal): A kit to reverse-engineer a photon cannon, a weapon that generates a shortly-lived miniature sun. Technically brightens up the room, effectively blinds everyone in it. Requires a flux anomaly core to finish.

Specialized Engineering

Conventional wisdom has deemed these engineering products 'technically' safe, but far too dangerous to traditionally condone.

Designs

  • Tinkers Gloves: Overdesigned engineering gloves that have automated construction subroutines dialed in, allowing for faster construction while worn.
  • Lava-Resistant Iron Rods: Treated, specialized iron rods. When exposed to the vacuum of space their coating breaks off, but they can hold up against the extreme heat of active lava.

Bluespace Miner

The future is here, where we can mine ores from the great bluespace sea.

Designs

Prerequisites

Nanite Replication Protocols

Protocols that overwrite the default nanite replication routine to achieve more efficiency in certain circumstances.

Designs

  • Factory Protocol: Replication Protocol: the nanites build a factory matrix within the host, gradually increasing replication speed over time. The factory decays if the protocol is not active.
  • Kickstart Protocol: Replication Protocol: the nanites focus on early growth, heavily boosting replication rate for a few minutes after the initial implantation.
  • Eclipse Protocol: Replication Protocol: while the host is asleep or otherwise unconcious, the nanites exploit the reduced interference to replicate more quickly.
  • Pyramid Protocol: Replication Protocol: the nanites implement an alternate cooperative replication protocol that is more efficient as long as the saturation level is above 80%.

Prerequisites

Nanite Storage Protocols

Protocols that overwrite the default nanite storage routine to achieve more efficiency or greater capacity.

Designs

  • Free-range Protocol: Storage Protocol: the nanites discard their default storage protocols in favour of a cheaper and more organic approach. Reduces maximum volume, but increases the replication rate.
  • Hive Protocol: Storage Protocol: the nanites use a more efficient grid arrangment for volume storage, increasing maximum volume in a host.
  • S.L.O. Protocol: Storage Protocol: 'S.L.O.P.', or Storage Level Override Protocol, completely disables the safety measures normally present in nanites, allowing them to reach much higher saturation levels, but at the risk of causing internal damage to the host.
  • Zip Protocol: Storage Protocol: the nanites are disassembled and compacted when unused, greatly increasing the maximum volume while in a host. However, the process slows down the replication rate slightly.

Prerequisites

Powerator

We've been saved by it in the past, we should send some power ourselves!
