They close and open, but you can place them anywhere and control them with a button or other gadgets.

Shutters	Requires to build	How to build
	x10 x10	Use Crafting menu to create the shutters. Use a multitool to program the shutters to the right channel Use an Blast Door Controller (Can be placed inside of a button) to open and close the door.
How to deconstruct
Tools	(Screwdriver the button open.) Remove the airlock electronics. Wrench the open button frame. Weld it to deconstruct to metal plates.
